Tom Blalock to lead Atlanta Office and Drive Expansion in Georgia

MELVILLE, N.Y. – (May 11, 2007) American Brokers Conduit (ABC), the wholesale division of American Home Mortgage Investment Corp. (NYSE: AHM), a publicly held mortgage Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), is pleased to announce the recent addition of Tom Blalock as Vice President, Branch Manager, reporting to Robert O’Branovich, Senior Vice President, Southeast Region.

Prior to joining ABC, Mr. Blalock served as Area Sales Manager for Homecomings Financial (a GMAC Company) where he was responsible for originating over $1 billion in volume through the wholesale broker channel. Mr. Blalock is also an accomplished sales trainer.

In his new role, Mr. Blalock is charged with overseeing the growth, expansion and profitability of ABC’s Atlanta wholesale office, which covers the state of Georgia. While his responsibilities encompass all facets of branch operations, Mr. Blalock will focus on developing the sales team to maximize individual and group potential.
